Three Jamestown teen-agers, members of the Jamestown High School football team, have been arrested in an alleged gang assault last Wednesday at the Burger King on Main Street.

Town of Ellicott Police said Eric Fisher, Ricardo "Ricky" Gonzalez, and Cory Sims, all 17, are in the Chautauqua County Jail pending a recommendation from the district attorney's office.

Town police said several victims were treated at WCA Hospital in Jamestown.

Jamestown football coach Wally Huckno said five players were removed from the team. Three of the players were arrested, and he declined to name the other two.

"We found five kids in violation of team rules and team policy, and I dropped them immediately. We're not going to have that," said Huckno. "That's the first step. What the school does, the law does, that's separate."

The investigation is continuing, and officers said more arrests are expected.
