Nelson F. White, 85, a resident of Chautauqua County Home, Dunkirk, and formerly of South Roberts Road, Forestville, died Saturday (Sept. 11, 1999) in the home.
White was born in Dunkirk. He retired in 1976 after 39 years with Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corp. in Dunkirk, where he was the chief annealer.
White was a member of the United Steelworkers of America and St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Sheridan.
He was an avid outdoorsman.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, the former Matilda C. Guggemos; two daughters, Marjorie A. Miller and Linda A. Kessler-DeMarco; a son, Joseph N. of Bossier City, La.; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Prayers will be said at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday in Riles Funeral Home, 39 Main St., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 in St. John Bosco Church, 2773 Main Road, Sheridan. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cheektowaga.
