Erna A. Farber, 94, of Mount St. Mary's Nursing Home, formerly of Violet Circle in Wheatfield and Heritage Manor, died Monday (Sept. 13, 1999) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a lengthy illness.

Born Erna Trampe in Jatznick, Germany, she attended schools in Germany and moved to the Niagara Falls area in 1924.

Mrs. Farber worked as a seamstress at the former Spirella Corp., retiring in 1950. She was a member of the Niagara Falls Liederkranz singing society.

Her husband, Fritz, died in 1985.

Survivors include three sons, Walter of Bradenton, Fla., Karl of New Bern, N.C., and Erwin; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be scheduled. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
