Tony J. Martino, 88, of Cayuga Drive, formerly of Pershing Avenue, died Saturday (Sept. 11, 1999) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a brief illness.
Martino was born in Retsof and moved here as a child. He attended Niagara Falls schools.
He worked as a welder at the former Union Carbide Corp. plant for 27 years, retiring in 1976.
Martino was an active participant in programs at the Niagara Nutrition Center on Colvin Boulevard.
His wife, Virginia J. Bucelato Martino, died in 1996.
Survivors include two sons, John and Angelo; two brothers, John and Richard; three sisters, Violet Donato, Lucy Sinatra and Antoinette Settimi; five grandchil-dren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Charles Catholic Church, 56th Street and Lindbergh Avenue, after prayers at 9 in Lane Funeral Home, 8622 Buffalo Ave. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
