Madeline Bonenti, 95, of LaSalle Avenue, a former City Hall secretary, died Saturday (Sept. 11, 1999) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a long illness.
Born Madeline Pescio in Novarra, Italy, she moved to the United States at age 8. Her family settled in Solvay. She moved to Niagara Falls in 1926.
Mrs. Bonenti worked for 25 years as a secretary in several offices in City Hall. She retired in 1965.
She enjoyed traveling, reading and lunching with her many friends.
Her husband, Peter, died in 1980.
Survivors include a son, Carlo J. of Lewiston; a daughter, Norma Troiano of Oceanside; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial Mass will be scheduled. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston.
