John A. McCormick, 86, of the Town of Tonawanda, who worked in men's furnishings at the former Kleinhans Co. store in Buffalo for 44 years before retiring in 1978, died Thursday (Sept. 9, 1999) in Erie County Medical Center after a long illness.
He was born in Buffalo and had lived in the Town of Tonawanda for more than 40 years. He served in the Army in the European, North African and Middle Eastern theaters during World War II. He was a member of Milton J. Brounschidle Post 205 American Legion and Harry E. Crosby Post 2472 Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his wife, the former Beverly E. Lorenz; three daughters, Susan Fleck and Gail Jenson, both of Albany, and Michele of Denver; two sons, Greg of the City of Tonawanda; and John Jr.
