AUTO PARTS CHAIN TO BUILD STORE

The city's planning commission has approved the site plan for construction of a new auto parts chain store at East Second and Windsor streets.

Advance Auto Parts will be building a nearly 7,000-square-foot shop where the former Midas Muffler Shop used to be located.

Planning Commission Chairman Emory Olson said Thursday the building will be set back slightly to increase parking space.

The chain store already has one Jamestown-area location at the Lakewood Village Center on Fairmount Avenue.
