Arraignment has been adjourned for a Salamanca man suspended from teaching after being charged with endangering the welfare of a 12-year-old girl during the summer.
Michael A. DePonceau, 36, of Wildwood Avenue is accused of the crime, which allegedly occurred in his home July 1.
Court records show the girl's parents filed a complaint alleging DePonceau "kissed her inappropriately on the mouth."
DePonceau's arraignment was set for Wednesday and has been adjourned until Sept. 22 at the request of his attorney Thomas Vaughn of Buffalo. He remains free on $500 bail.
Following his first day on the job as a sixth-grade teacher at Gail Chapman Elementary School in Randolph he was suspended with pay pending an investigation by the school into the incident.
