Already postponed several times, the sentencing of former Letchworth Central School teacher Douglas Bedient has been rescheduled for next Friday.
Bedient, 33, of Perry, pleaded guilty earlier this year to a single count of possession of child pornography. At that time, he also resigned from his position as a second-grade teacher at Letchworth. He was suspended from that job after his arrest last Oct. 21.
Village of Perry police and FBI officials raided Bedient's home last October, finding computer discs they said contained images of children engaging in sex. Bedient allegedly obtained the material over the Internet. The children were not local residents.
When Bedient is sentenced by U.S. District Judge John T. Elfvin, he is expected to receive a jail term of 2 1/3 to 2 3/4 years and a fine of $60,000.
