A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Jane Goliszek will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1419 Falls St., after prayers at 9 in Zajac Funeral Home, 319 24th St. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston.
Mrs. Goliszek, a homemaker who enjoyed cooking Polish food for her family and friends, died Tuesday (Sept. 7, 1999) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center of injuries suffered in a traffic accident near her home.
The former Mary Jane Owsinski, 86, of Weston Avenue was born in Niagara Falls and attended local schools.
She worked for a time for Figler Dry Cleaners and, after it was closed, worked for several years for Quality Dry Cleaners on Highland Avenue. She left work to become a homemaker.
Mrs. Goliszek was a member of Holy Trinity Church and its senior citizens group, and of Our Lady of the Rosary and St. Stanislaus Kostka senior citizen groups. She was a life member of the Frontier Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.
Her husband, Benjamin S., died in 1979.
Mrs. Goliszek is survived by a daughter, Judith A. Festag of Williamsburg, Va.; three stepbrothers, Walther Stempien of Chicago, Stanley Stempski, of Hamilton, Ont., and Matthew Stempien; a stepsister, Mildred Accavatti of Detroit; and a granddaughter.
