MAN GETS THREE-YEAR TERM FOR ATTEMPTED BURGLARY

James V. Caffey, 39, of 352 Ninth St., Niagara Falls, was sentenced Thursday in Niagara County Court to three years in prison after he admitted trying to steal a cash box containing $9 from a fast-food restaurant Jan. 9.

Caffey pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of attempted third-degree burglary in connection with the incident at Mighty Taco, 2591 Military Road, Town of Niagara. He was indicted March 25 on third-degree burglary and petit-larceny counts.
