FREE LECTURES AIM TO HELP FAMILIES DEAL WITH CANCER

A series of free lectures aimed at helping people and their families who are confronted with cancer will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on three days beginning this month at the Center for Hospice & Palliative Care Education Center, 225 Como Park Blvd., Cheektowaga.

The schedule for the three "Power of Choice" talks is:

Sept. 29, "Choices in Directing Your Care," by Patty Murray, a cancer survivor and co-founder of the Pregnant With Breast Cancer Support Group.

Oct. 27, "Choices in Managing Chemotherapy," by Dr. Robert M. Zielinski, an oncologist with the Buffalo Medical Group.

Dec. 1, "Choices in Addressing the Stress and Fear of Cancer Diagnosis," by Deborah Mecca, a psychiatric nurse practitioner with the Buffalo Medical Group.
