Ethel Kennedy's brother appeared before a Connecticut grand jury Thursday to testify about an unsolved 1975 murder in which two of his sons are suspects.
Rushton Skakel Sr., 75, of Hobe Sound, Fla., lost a court battle in July to avoid testifying in the investigation of Martha Moxley's death in Greenwich, Conn.
Skakel's lawyers had argued that the wealthy industrialist, the brother of Robert F. Kennedy's widow, Ethel, suffers from a form of dementia and is unfit to give any cogent testimony.
Skakel made no comment to reporters as he entered the courthouse to appear before Bridgeport Superior Court Judge George Thim. Thim is acting as a one-person grand jury.
