As a Buffalo Bills season-ticket holder, I was very disappointed with the front office's explanation of the reason for not allowing containers in the stadium. I was told that the ban was instituted for safety purposes, because fans were throwing the containers at the security people.
I attended the preseason game last Saturday and discovered that they were selling plastic bottles of water for $2.50. It seems to me that fans could just as easily throw these bottles at the security people, and cause just as many injuries, as if they brought their own in.
Are they asking us to pay for bottles that we can throw at the security people? Or is the real reason just to make more money? Let's be honest, because the fans are not idiots.
