A memorial service for Alice Link Corse, who taught mathematics in Buffalo high schools from 1934 to 1942, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Amherst Community Church, Washington Highway, in Snyder.

Mrs. Corse, 86, a lifelong resident of the Buffalo area, died June 25, 1999, in Williamsville Suburban Nursing Home.

She was a graduate of Bennett High School and the University of Buffalo, where she earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics. She taught mathematics for eight years -- four at Riverside High School and four at Kensington High School -- before leaving teaching in 1942.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, William A.
