Romance author Tracy Cozzens will be on hand Saturday at the grand opening of Media Play in Cheektowaga to sign copies of her first book, "The Prince's Bride," at 11 a.m.
Since winning the Romance Writers of America's Golden Heart Award last year for her then-unpublished novel "Starcrossed," the Orchard Park resident has gone on to sell five books to various publishers.
"The Prince's Bride," a grown-up fairy tale, follows the tradition of "Sabrina" and "Roman Holiday."
"My inspiration came during the well-publicized breakup of Princess Diana and Prince Charles," she said. "I admit I wasn't too surprised by the breakup because I didn't feel the two had much in common. So I imagined what a prince might do to ensure a more suitable match . . . and whether or not it would work."
The Zebra Bouquet romance tells the story of a New York magazine editor who is hired to find a bride for an eligible and handsome prince before the year is out.
