The 32nd annual Festival of Grapes will begin with a pageant at the High School at 6:45 p.m. Saturday.
Most of the events will be held in the village square Sept. 16-19.
Rides, concessions and the wine tent will be open all the hours of the fair. The farmers' market will be open Sept. 17-19. Entertainment also will be available each evening. Arts and crafts will be exhibited the afternoon of Sept. 17 and all day on the 18 and 19.
Opening ceremonies will be held at 7 p.m. Sept. 16. The traditional grape stomping contest will show who can get the most juice from the grapes by foot.
Special events on Sept. 17 include a hose race at 6 p.m. on Jackson Street and the annual Grape Bowl football game at 7:30 p.m.
On Sept. 18, a full day of events include a book fair sponsored by the Anderson-Lee Library, an egg hunt, a bubble gum contest, judging grape desserts and a pet parade. Athletic events include a football toss/basketball toss at noon and a golf contest at 6 p.m.
The grand parade will begin at 1 p.m. Sept. 19. The festival will conclude with entertainment at 3 p.m.
