TWO ARRESTED IN MEDINA ARSON
Two men were arrested Tuesday on charges they set a fire at Medina High School.
Donald Quackenbush, 18 and Michael Gay, 19, both of Medina were charged with third-degree arson. Police said they set fire to wooden pallets on a school loading dock Tuesday afternoon, damaging the loading dock area, several windows and a rear hallway entrance. Damage was estimated at $30,000.
Quackenbush and Gay were arraigned by Village Justice Howard Lake. Quackenbush is being held in the Orleans County Jail on $10,000 bail and Gay, $15,000 bail.
School district officials said the incident won't disrupt the start of school today.
