TOWN OF TONAWANDA MAN CHARGED WITH ASSAULT

A 36-year-old Town of Tonawanda man has been charged with assault and menacing after a domestic dispute over the weekend in which he was accused of beating up an associate and cutting her arm.

Town of Tonawanda police said Richard Usher, of Benefield Place attacked Nancy Lash, 44, of the same address at about 2 a.m. Saturday morning.

Ms. Lash was treated in Kenmore Mercy Hospital, Town of Tonawanda, and released.

Usher, charged with second-degree assault and menacing, was taken to Erie County Holding Center to await arraignment.
