SUSPECT HELD IN BREAK-IN TRY

A Bush Street man was caught trying to break into an East Second Street tavern early Monday.

City police reported receiving a call shortly after 3 a.m. from someone who spotted a man acting suspiciously outside the Buffalo Grill. When officers arrived, they said the burglar, identified as Raymond Cole II, 29, fled the scene. He had allegedly pried open a window and tried to enter the business.

Police said they found Cole across Buffalo Street behind the Wilson Farms store. He was charged with third-degree attempted burglary and possession of burglary tools. Cole was still in the city jail late Monday awaiting arraignment.
