John Leland Miller, a crane operator, died Sunday (Sept. 5, 1999) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a brief illness. He was 60.
Miller, of Laughlin Drive, was born in Clearfield, Pa., and moved to Niagara Falls as a child. He was a 1957 graduate of LaSalle High School.
He served in Army from 1957-63.
Miller worked as a crane operator for L-Tec Welding Products, formerly Union Carbide, for 25 years.
He enjoyed woodcutting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, the former Emmy Lou Winn; two sons, John G. of Tempe, Ariz., and Wade L. of Atlanta; two daughters, Susan L. and Elizabeth A.; and two grandchildren.
Private services will be held Wednesday. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston.
