Buffalo police are searching for a suspect who escaped while being placed under arrest on an outstanding warrant on Buffalo's West Side.

Hector Rivera, who was spotted by police on Niagara Street, ran north on Niagara Street when he escaped after police attempted to arrest him.

He is described as a Hispanic male, 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighing about 120 pounds, with a thin build.

Rivera, whose last known address was on Lakeview Avenue, also uses the aliases Iram Rivera, Joselito Martinez and Hector Negron, authorities said.

He is wanted on two other outstanding warrants. Anyone with information should not approach the suspect but should call Crime Stoppers.
