A Buffalo man was in the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of a $25,000 cash or $50,000 property bond Monday after he was arrested in connection with an apparent sexual assault at Don's Motel on Lake Shore Drive West.
Dunkirk police said Frank H. Jetter, 18, of Watson Street was charged with first-degree sodomy and third-degree robbery, both felonies, third-degree assault and possession of marijuana, both misdemeanors. He was arraigned before City Court Judge Walter Drag and is in jail awaiting a preliminary hearing.
A second Buffalo man, Kenneth T. Young, 17, of Highgate Street, was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana at the same time. He received an appearance ticket.
Police, who responded to an unknown disturbance at the motel, said they found the room in complete disarray and no one there. Within a short period of time, police found a woman being treated in Brooks Memorial Hospital for a sexual assault.
The woman, a local resident, was able to tell police what had happened and give a description of her assailant. Police later found Jetter and Young walking along Lake Shore Drive West and arrested them. The woman was released after treatment.
