Five people were injured when two vehicles collided late Sunday on Townsend Road in the Town of Concord, the Erie County Sheriff's Department said Monday.
Both drivers were charged, one for failing to keep right and the other for driving while intoxicated.
Jim Bob Burrows, 18, of Fillmore, was charged with failure to keep right, according to the Sheriff's Department.
He was driving south on Townsend about 9:50 p.m. when his vehicle crossed into the northbound lane and was struck by a pickup truck driven by Kenneth Tornabene, 47, of Grand Island.
Deputies charged Tornabene with driving while intoxicated, the Sheriff's Department said.
Both drivers were flown from the crash site to Erie County Medical Center by Mercy Flight. Burrows was treated for cuts and abrasions and later discharged. Tornabene was listed in stable condition Monday evening.
An unidentified passenger in Tornabene's pickup truck was taken to the medical center with injuries to the back and face.
Two passengers in Burrows' vehicle were taken to Bertrand Chaffee Hospital in Springville.
Jamie Appell, 24, was taken by Mercy Flight from Springville to the medical center, where he was treated and released. Mike Dolls, 22, suffered cuts and abrasions. He was released after treatment in Bertrand Chaffee.
