Heritage of Gold recorded her sixth win in eight starts this year when she came from just off the pace to register a one-length victory over Khumba Mela in the $300,000, Grade II Diana Handicap at Saratoga on Sunday.

Heritage of Gold had been third on the dirt behind Banshee Breeze and Beautiful Pleasure in the Grade I Go For Wand Stakes in her previous start at Saratoga on Aug. 7.

Mossflower, making her first start on the turf, was another neck back in third in the field of nine fillies and mares 3 and older.

Ridden by Shane Sellers, Heritage of Gold covered 1 1/8 miles on a firm turf course in 1:45:4, just 2-5 of a second off the stakes record posted by Waya in 1978.
