"Viva Las Vegas or California, here I come!" said Bob Rosolow-ski of Blasdell, when he learned of his first-place win in SUPER JINGO Game No. 903.
Playing since the game's beginning, Rosolowski was surprised to learn of his good fortune. "I never thought that I could be Number One," he said.
Rosolowski, who is a truck driver for Frontier Lumber, plans to travel either to Las Vegas or Sacramento, Calif., with his wife of 27 years, Kristen.
"My wife lived in California, and we have kids we can visit in Sacramento, or maybe we can try our luck in Vegas," he said.
Aside from the two round-trip airline tickets for anywhere Continental flies in the continental United States, the couple also will receive $500.
Other winners are:
San Sanger of Akron -- Two-night stay in SkyDome Hotel, Toronto.
Stan Wojcik of Buffalo -- Two tickets to five Sabres games.
J. and J. Grucela of Lackawanna -- Showroom car detail.
Barbara Habberfield of Tonawanda -- Salvatore's gift certificate and show tickets.
"This is awesome," said San Sanger of Akron, when she learned she had won a trip for two to the SkyDome. She has been wanting to travel to Toronto for some time.
"A few years ago, my late husband asked if I wanted to take a trip to Toronto or get wagon wheels for the front yard. I chose the wagon wheels, and every year since then, when I paint them, I think of what Toronto would have been like." Now she will have her chance.
Submitting entries each week is a joint effort between her and boyfriend Richard Williams.
"He usually completes the entries, and I send them in," Ms. Sans said.
They will be treated to a two-night stay in SkyDome Hotel, breakfast in the Bistro at the SkyDome and tickets to the SkyDome Tour Experience.
Stan Wojcik of Buffalo is this week's third-place winner of two tickets to five Buffalo Sabres games. He was excited.
"I have been playing for a long time, at least ten years," he said.
Wojcik is a Sabres fan and enjoys watching games on television and in person.
"I'm not sure which friend I will bring to the games with me," he said.
J. and J. Grucela will be pleasantly surprised to learn of their fourth-place win in this week's game. They will be the recipients of a showroom car detail.
Dedication to SUPER JINGO finally made Barbara Habberfield of Tonawanda a winner. This week's fifth-place winner, Mrs. Habberfield will receive a Salvatore's gift certificate and theater tickets.
"My husband, Roger, fills out the entries. We almost gave up after playing so long and not winning, but I guess it pays to be faithful to SUPER JINGO," she said. Mrs. Habberfield says they couple enjoy Salvatore's restaurant and attending the theater.
"This is wonderful. I was just at Salvatore's for a high school reunion. "I'm very happy and very excited. I'm sure I will enjoy the prize," she said.
