Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center has expanded its board of directors to include Paul Bandrowski, Reciprocal Inc.; C. Angela Bontempo, Bryant and Stratton Business Institute; E. Peter Ruddy Jr., WESTNY Building Products Corp., and Paul Willax, Daemen College. Also, Dr. Ernesto Diaz-Ordaz, an otolaryngologist with the Head and Neck Center at Sisters Hospital, was appointed secretary of the board.

Vibratech Inc. of Buffalo promoted David Schrantz to vice president of product engineering.

Roberts-Gordon, an international manufacturer of gas-fired infrared heating equipment, appointed Martin Brice, director of engineering and Madonna Courtney marketing manager.

The Manufacturers Council of the Buffalo Niagara Partnership has named as its chairman Robert A. Fox, president and CEO of Conax Buffalo Technologies LLC.

Junior Achievement of WNY named Mark Hamister its 1999 Hall of Fame Laureate. He is chairman and chief executive officer of National Health Care Affiliates and Buffalo Sports Enterprises/The Buffalo Destroyers. Others honored are: Donald Ogilvie, district superintendent and executive officer of Erie 1 BOCES; and Sean Husvar, George Chamoun and Darren Ascone, founders of Chek Inc., Entrepreneur of the Year.

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Alfred University appointed Dr. CheryldL. Emmons, assistant professor of biology, and Douglas J. Chesnut, instructor of chemistry. Also, Dr. Jalah Baghdadchi has been appointed assistant professor of electrical engineering and physics at the College of Engineering and Professional Studies at Alfred.

Bill and Pat Sullivan, owners of Servpro of Buffalo/Tonawanda/Amherst, a professional cleaning service, received Servpro's Directors Gold award for outstanding volume and years of service. They have been franchise owners for 26 years.

Radiant Energy Corp., developer and marketer of the InfraTek Radiant Energy Deicing System, appointed Thomas J. Motherway, president of Boeing Capital Corp. and Boeing Realty, to its Board of Directors. Radiant is headquartered in Toronto with local offices in Orchard Park.
