Dear Ann Landers: I think I can top the story about the couple who celebrated their 76th wedding anniversary. Gilbert and Sadie Hill of Zephyrhills, Fla., celebrated their 79th anniversary on June 15. Both are 99 years old. They live alone, care for their home, and still come to the dances at the Tourist Club. They renewed their wedding vows last summer. It was beautiful.

Dear Nona: You did indeed top the couple who wrote about their 76th wedding anniversary. Here's another love story which is a close runner-up:
Dear Ann Landers: I'd like to tell you about my parents, Abe and Rae Rabinoff of Denver, Colo., who celebrated their 78th wedding anniversary on Sept. 18, 1998. They still hold hands and exchange good-morning and good-night kisses.
After their morning coffee, Dad reads the Ann Landers column aloud to Mom, whose eyes aren't as good as they once were. Of their four daughters, one celebrated a 56th wedding anniversary in October. Another celebrated a 48th in May.
I'm not writing to top the other stories, but to pay tribute to the many wonderful "goldie oldie" couples who continue to cherish each other and set a beautiful example for all who know them.
