The International Joint Commission, the joint US-Canada board that manages the countries' Great Lakes water issues, will conduct one of its next hearings on bulk water sales in Amherst.
The Buffalo hearing will take place from 7 to 10 p.m. Oct. 20 in the University Inn and Conference Center in Amherst.
Interested parties and organizations are invited to speak at the hearing, but due to time constraints, will be limited to five minutes. Written comments will also be accepted at the hearing.
The IJC already has issued an interim report calling for a ban on bulk sale of Great Lakes water, but is conducting additional hearings before giving its final report next February.
