How curious that in the Aug. 24 News editorial, "Buffalo guns: A good form of exile," not once was there any mention of the National Rifle Association's endorsement and active role in promoting and enacting Project Exile in cities around the United States.
This is the program initiated in Richmond, Va., and other cities that adds five years to the sentence of a criminal found guilty of committing a crime with a gun. If Sarah Brady or Charles Schumer were behind such a program, The News would have lauded them to the point of embarrassment. But, unfortunately, this is what I have come to expect from this publication.
