John A. "Spider" Egloff Sr., 68, past president of Local 928, International Longshoremen's Association, and a Korean War veteran, died Monday (Aug. 30, 1999) in his Buffalo home after a brief illness.
Born in Buffalo, he worked as a longshoreman for 40 years. He also worked for Conrail.
He served in the Army in Korea. His decorations included the Korean Service Medal with three bronze service stars.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, the former Arlene Mackey; a daughter, Debra Cunningham; a son, John Jr.; and six grandchil-dren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered today in St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church after prayers in Ray O'Connell Funeral Home. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery, Lackawanna.
