The Niagara Falls Housing Authority will sponsor an academic focus program called Livin' Large for pupils from kindergarten through 12th grade during the coming school year.
In addition to tutoring, the program will offer educational movies, violence prevention and awareness, arts and crafts, storytelling, math and alphabet bingo, incentive awards and prizes, guest speakers and nutritious snacks.
The sessions will be held from 3:45 to 6 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and from 2:45 to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays in the authority's Family Resource Building, 3001 Ninth St.
Tutoring will be directed by a state certified teacher, assisted by students from Niagara University and Niagara County Community College, and volunteers from the housing authority. Registration information is available at the Family Resource Building.
