Cindy Potter, 40, a human resources information specialist for E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Co. in Wilmington, Del., died Saturday (Oct. 25, 1997) after suffering internal injuries in a fall at her home in Hockessin, Del.
Born in the Town of Tonawanda, Mrs. Potter was a graduate of Kenmore West High School. She received a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Columbia University and a master's in business administration from the University of Houston at Clear Lake. She was a former vice president of the National Society of Women Engineers.
She was a member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church in Hockessin, where she was a choir member, Sunday school teacher and served on the Congregation Council.
Survivors include her husband of 14 years, David J. of Hockessin; a son, Thaddeus; a daughter, Kathryn M.; two sisters, Linda Gage of Silver Creek and Wendy Johnson of Williamsville; and her maternal grandmother, Amalia Broecker of Buffalo.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, Hockessin. Burial will be in Hockessin Friends Cemetery.
