A well-known Medina businessman who gained popularity for dances at his youth club pleaded innocent this week to allegations he sodomized a 15-year-old boy, authorities said Friday.
Kenneth Daluisio, 32, of West Avenue, also is suspected of sodomizing other male teen-agers whom he would give odd jobs and "perhaps buy them things," according to Police Chief Donald E. Draper.
Daluisio, who once served as an appointed member of the Village Board of Trustees when a vacancy occurred three years ago, declared his innocence Wednesday in Village Court, where he was charged with third-degree sodomy.
"He's pretty well-known, and I think it was a surprise to a great number of people, and you can add my name to that list of those who were surprised," Draper said Friday.
The alleged sex attacks occurred over the past several months in his residence and possibly the homes of other victims, Draper said.
"There are two or three youths we know about, and there may be others we don't know of," he explained.
Police said they first learned of the alleged incidents when one of the boys came forward with a complaint against Daluisio.
More charges are expected after a Nov. 7 grand jury begins reviewing evidence collected by village and New York State Police, authorities said.
