Erin Lyn Kudela, 17, who was this city's junior bowling champion in 1995, died Thursday (Oct. 23, 1997) in her home on Frontier Avenue after a long illness.
A native of Niagara Falls, Miss Kudela worked for a short time at the Taco Bell restaurant. She was in the Senior Class at LaSalle High School, where she was a member of the volleyball team.
Miss Kudela had been a dancer at Mary Brian's School of Irish Dance, a volunteer worker on the Niagara Falls Firefighters Toy Fund telethon, and an umpire for the Zone 6 Little League. She enjoyed music and writing poetry.
Survivors include her parents, Christopher and Joan Atwood Kudela; her twin sister, Brooke Lyn; a brother, Mark C.; and her maternal grandfather, Edwin R. Atwood.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Monday in St. Mary of the Cataract Catholic Church, 259 Fourth St., with prayers at 9 in Zajac Funeral Home, 319 24th St. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston.
