FULL-DAY KINDERGARTEN EYED

Full-day kindergarten could be implemented in Jamestown starting next September.

The Jamestown School Board checked requirements at some facilities Tuesday night, and learned it may be possible.

Director of Elementary Education Daniel Kathman said, "in the short term, with some compromises and maybe some temporary classrooms, we can house all-day kindergarten. In the long term we would definitely need to add space at at least three of our elementary schools, with the other three likely needing some remodeling."
