Compeer volunteers are matched as mentors in one-on-one relationships with children and adults who are experiencing emotional or mental health problems. Compeer is based on the premise that friendship is the best medicine, that every age needs mentors and that children need adults they can trust.
Through mentoring, a volunteer connects a child or adult with the larger community while supporting and comforting them.
