Ken Whitaker never had to wait for a foursome ahead of him. He just played through -- and through and through.
On Monday, Whitaker played 442 holes at the Benvenue Country Club in Rocky Mount, N.C., from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., breaking the Guinness Book of World Records' 12-hour mark of 440.
The club's tennis pro played golf while raising money for medical expenses for the family of 9-year-old Jordan Morris, who died recently of brain cancer. Whitaker's wife, Joni, said the event so far has raised at least $10,000.
Whitaker played his final 18 holes in 26 minutes.
