Wendy Macpherson took the top spot for tonight's stepladder finals of the $75,000 Lady Ebonite Classic in Canton, Mich.

Macpherson posted a 24-8 match record to lead the way with a pinfall of 7,451, three pins fewer than Anne Marie Duggan. Lisa Wagner is third, Dede Davidson fourth and Kim Adler fifth.

Tonawanda's Cindy Coburn-Carroll won $2,100 for finishing eighth with 7,077.

Niagara Falls' Liz Johnson won $1,725 for placing 13th with 6,963.

In East Providence, R.I., Eric Forkel and Gene Stus beat the team of Jason Couch and Larry Laub, 231-201, in the title match of the 1996 Touring Pro-Senior Doubles Championship.

The winners pocketed $11,000 apiece.
