EDEN DISTRICT COMMENDED FOR ITS BUS MAINTENANCE

The state Transportation Department has commended the Eden Central School District for quality maintenance of its bus fleet, rating it among the top 20 percent of carriers throughout the state for 1995-96 that have so far been evaluated.

In an Oct. 3 letter received by school officials last week, the state notes Eden's strong dedication to safety and a commitment to sound maintenance standards. The letter to School Superintendent Thomas Christopher was sent by John F. Guinan, assistant commissioner for the state Office of Passenger and Freight Transportation.
