Authorities are looking for a town supervisor dodging arrest for alleged misconduct in office.
Two warrants were issued Friday for the arrest of Town of Mentz Supervisor William Jones on charges of official misconduct.
He has refused to certify the payroll and give three town Highway Department employees their justly due wages, said Cayuga County District Attorney James Vargason.
The misdemeanor charges each carry a fine of up to $1,000 and one year in the county jail, he said.
Jones told the Auburn Citizen that he is the victim of a political and personal vendetta.
