The Federal Emergency Management Agency has allocated $333,901 in aid for emergency food and shelter programs for Buffalo and Erie County.
The allocation is $13,240 less than last year, said Robert M. Bennett, president of the United Way, which is the local liaison with the Federal Food and Shelter Program.
A local advisory board will determine how emergency aid will be allocated. Eligible organizations that offer food and shelter programs may obtain application forms by visiting the United Way offices at 742 Delaware Ave. Applications must be returned by noon Nov. 8.
