Allan H. Robins, a retired pharmacist, died Tuesday (Oct. 29, 1996) in Buffalo General Hospital. He was 65.
A native of Buffalo, he was a graduate of the University of Buffalo School of Pharmacy.
He owned and operated Herzel Drug Co. from May 1963 to October 1984, when he retired.
In 1977, Robins was selected to be the independent lottery distributor for most of Erie County. As a result of outstanding lottery sales, he received the Rochester and Monroe County territories as well. He received many awards for outstanding sales accomplishments during his tenure as a distributor.
He was an avid photographer and enjoyed the arts.
He was an active member of Temple Shaarey Zedek in Amherst and a past board member.
He is survived by his wife, BetteLou; three sons, Glenn of Atlanta and Gregg and Wayne, both of Williamsville; a daughter, Mindy; and two granddaughters.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Amherst Memorial Chapel, 281 Dodge Road, Getzville. Burial will be in Ahavath Sholem Cemetery, Cheektowaga.
