Town of Ellicott tax rates will remain virtually stable under a planned $2.7 million budget.
The Town Board put the finishing touches on the package Monday night. Taxes in the villages of Celoron and Lakewood will drop by .00035 percent, while taxes outside the villages will climb by just .006 percent.
This was a first budget for freshman Town Supervisor Patrick Tyler, who said: "I learned a lot by going through the process, but I wanted to make sure I knew what it was all about. The department heads were very cooperative."
A public hearing will be held Nov. 6.
