Edward L. Nosek, 84, of Norfolk, Va., a former Buffalo resident, died Saturday (Oct. 26, 1996) in Coliseum Nursing Center, Hampton, Va., after a short illness.
Born in Buffalo, he worked as a chemical operator for the Linde Division of Union Carbide. He moved to Virginia following his retirement in 1978.
He was a former member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Town of Tonawanda, and the Knights of St. John at St. Matthew's Catholic Church and the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Margaret's Catholic Church, both in Buffalo. His wife, Anna, whom he married in 1940, died in January.
Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Szulczewski of Sunrise, Fla., and Mary Schiller of Virginia Beach, Va.; and a grandson.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered Tuesday in Norfolk. Interment was in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens, Norfolk.
