JUST FRIENDS, OR MORE?

Dear Megan,

I like this girl who happens to be one of my best friends. We talk about almost everything. I want to ask her out, but I'm afraid that it might destroy our friendship.

Also, I'm good friends with another girl who likes me but despises my other friend. I don't want to lose them both! What should I do?

Lonely
Dear Lonely,

The key to successful relationships is communication. Talk to both these girls and try to understand their feelings.

You might not have a problem at all, but first determine this: Are your friendships with both girls strong enough to handle this? If not, perhaps you'd be better off staying "just friends" for now. Use your judgment.

I hope this turns out for the best. Good luck!
