Clarence A. Hoste, 66, who was the Medina Moose Lodge's Moose of the Year, died Monday (Oct. 28, 1996) in his Lake Road home.
A native of Akron, he had worked for 30 years at Harrison Radiator Division, General Motors Corp., before his retirement in 1985.
Active with the Loyal Order of Moose in Medina, he was named Moose of the Year in 1995. He also served as a treasurer and trustee of the Moose Legion.
He was a member of the Sacred Heart Club of Medina.
Among his hobbies were bowling, hunting and gardening.
Surviving are his wife, the former Alice Higgs; a son, Daryl of West Virginia; three daughters, Sheila Bruckner of Lockport, Karen Gibb and Denise Dubois; a stepson, Robert Hass of North Tonawanda; a stepdaughter, Carolyn Wolfe of Albany; three sisters, Hazel Marquart and Grace Berge, both of Akron, and Shirley Platten of Alden; 18 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Rutland-Corwin Funeral Home, 1708 Pallister Ave. Burial will be in Somerset Cemetery.
