WOMAN ACCUSED OF CHEATING WELFARE

A woman was arrested Saturday on charges of receiving $2,632 in welfare benefits to which she was not entitled.

Ann M. Kennedy, 34, of 14 Colfax St. was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and first-degree offering a false instrument for receiving public assistance from January to October 1994 and in July 1995.

The arrest resulted from a joint investigation by the Chautauqua County district attorney's office, Social Services Investigator George Lynch and state police at Falconer.
