PUBLIC IS INVITED TO TOUR JAIL ADDITION

The public is invited to tour Niagara County's new $24.6 million jail in the Town of Lockport from Thursday through Saturday.

Sheriff Thomas A. Beilein said schools may arrange to have student groups see the new jail from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 10 a.m. to noon and 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Friday. A special senior citizen tour period has been set from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday. The general public is invited to see the new jail from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Schools and organizations with large groups may set up tours by contacting Sgt. Ross Annable at the Sheriff's Department, Beilein said.
