A 41-year-old Buffalo man had $100 worth of candy from a Rite Aid store when arrested outside the establishment, police said Sunday.
Donald E. Porter, who gave his address as the Hotel Huron, was arrested Saturday night at the store at Main Street near Court Street. The store's door had been damaged, and police from the Downtown District said Porter was caught after "remaining at the scene." He fought with officers and had two crack pipes in his possession, officers added.
He was held under $1,500 bail pending a hearing at 2 p.m. Friday in City Court.
